Aiming at contributing to sustainable tourism, we have tried to implement an eco-friendly concept based on the following :
construction using natural materials (teak wood, bamboo, natural stone, recycled wood, and local craftsmen's know-how).
hot water supply from a renewable energy source (solar panels).
minimized use of plastic in our furniture and equipment (“ingke” bamboo plates, banana leaves, bamboo straws and skewer sticks, glass bottles, water gallons in public areas for bottle or tumbler refill, plaited bamboo containers, coconut husk ladles, lava stone bathroom accessories, and other local materials).
minimized environmental impact of detergents : use of “go green” and organic cleansing and toiletry products.
use of seasonal local products for cooking, small spice garden on the premises, promotion of traditional local cuisine.
selective waste sorting and organic waste composting.
